Title: EASY: EMERGING ADVANCED SKILLS YOUTH

Objectives

EASY aims to enhance employability and skills development in disadvantaged communities by providing young people from rural and underserved areas with innovative and high-demand skills that lead to decent and sustainable employment opportunities. In particular, the project seeks to:

  • Address skills mismatches by responding to emerging labor market needs.
  • Enhance the employability of young people by providing and acquiring lasting, transferable skills and competences.
  • Empower young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to actively participate in social and economic life.

Target group

  • Youth workers, educators, trainers, facilitators, managers.
  • Youth organizations at national and European level and their leaders/administrators.
  • Leaders and groups of young people participating in learning projects and activities.
  • Stakeholders in the youth sector and wider stakeholders.
  • Members of the SALTO YOUTH community (readers, users).
  • Trainers and professionals in other fields (adult education, VET, media).
  • Official and governmental bodies responsible for youth policies.

Project  outcomes

  • A comprehensive framework of guidance, employment tools, and educational materials that supports young people on their path to sustainable and decent work.
  • An online course with 10 short modules that develop the most critical skills for the current and future labor market.
  • DOSSIER, co-created by young people themselves, documenting their skills upgrade journey and suggesting improvements and adjustments from their own perspective.
  • A framework for exploitation that enhances the sustainability of results by expanding and stabilizing the Emerging Skills community through strategic networking and organizational strengthening.
  • A set of policy recommendations for policymakers and stakeholders, with the aim of developing new structures and policies that will effectively support young people.
