Project Description

Title: Game Changers: Encouraging social inclusion and active lifestyles in underdeveloped areas

Project Number: 2024-3-BG01-KA210-YOU-000291960

.

The main goal of the project, “Game Changers: Encouraging Social Inclusion and Active Lifestyles in Underdeveloped Areas,” is to foster new networks and opportunities for sports and healthy living among young people in less developed regions. By bridging the gap between these areas and more developed ones, the project seeks to strengthen inclusion and access. Additionally, it aims to enhance the capacity of participating organizations to collaborate at the transnational level and facilitate the exchange of good practices across Europe. To achieve this, the project will gather and build upon valuable insights and practices shared by sports managers, staff, coaches, mentors, and team members.

.

Results

The project will lead to the creation and distribution of a comprehensive toolkit showcasing good practices and initiatives that promote social inclusion through sport in underdeveloped areas. This toolkit will serve as a key final output of the project and act as a practical starting point for sports organizations. It aims to encourage the decentralization of their activities, motivating them to expand their reach and impact in less developed regions.

.

Target Groups

  • Young people (up to 25 years old) from underdeveloped regions who feel socially or physically isolated from mainstream social and sports activities.
  • Sports organizations and clubs across Europe are interested in expanding their activities to support inclusion in less developed areas.

.

The project consortium is composed of the following organizations:

  • Play Together (Bulgaria)
  • IASIS (Greece)
