Through this Erasmus+ KA1 Project, taking into account the ongoing challenges and needs emerging from the field of Adult Education for refugees and immigrants, IASIS is trying to equip its consultants/trainers with ground-breaking and modern Adult Education tools, Vocational Guidance techniques and work/ social reintegration of immigrants and refugees, which are of utmost importance for the Agency. The refugee issue is considered a major challenge both for the Agency – whose basic principles are social integration, the strengthening of education and the promotion of equal treatment of vulnerable social groups – and for the rest of the European bodies and organizations that share the same shared values and goals with those of IASIS.
This project aims to:
- Enrich the knowledge of trainers / counselors with new practices and tools in the field of VET, aimed at enhancing the on-demand skills of young refugees – Highlight the crucial role of VET in the social integration of immigrants / refugees
- Identify, adapt and implement tools in educational / counseling programs, and in the organization of professional workshops with modern European standards, with the ultimate goal of the social integration of refugees and immigrants, which is an issue with a European dimension
- Equip trainers with innovative practices & techniques to promote the labor market integration of refugees
- Strengthen the European and Intercultural identity of the Organization and its employees
The project will be implemented in two streams, with 10 mobilities in each in Naples and Barcelona, following Adult Education techniques such as: Job shadowing in innovative integration, education and support techniques, promotion of immigrants / refugees (in vitro), Focus groups and four roundtables to exchange experiences and views. In addition, the program has multiple study visits in respective structures of the Host Institutions and their partners (depending on the circumstances and possibilities of the specific period), and includes specific sections / topics, with the logic of a daily 7-hour program of activities, with a specific daily thematic.
