The Chic & Craft project is a strategic partnership for adult education which is implemented under the key action Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices of Erasmus+ programme. In the project cooperate organizations from Spain, Slovenia, Germany, Greece and Lithuania.
The Chic & Craft project tackles the challenges of providing training for people with mental health issues to improve their knowledge and competencies on the fashion design sector, facilitating access to alternative adult learning opportunities and thus helping them to gain employment. This will be achieved by establishing and testing an innovative set of training modules to empower adults with mental illness to develop not only manual but also digital and social skills, using a peer learning based methodology as well as social media. Improving their physical appearance by wearing the clothes designed by themselves will contribute to increase their self-esteem, reduce discrimination and thus to facilitate social integration.
